NannyCheck
Choosing someone to care for your children is never simple. And with such easy access to unscreened babysitters and nannies online, parents have found that vetting a candidate themselves is both time consuming and stressful.
If you find a nanny on your own, won't you feel more secure if she undergoes a thorough screening and background check just like a Parents in a Pinch caregiver?
"I appreciate your help. Your prior report on the former applicant was a factor we considered in making our hiring decision, as we found the information extremely valuable."
Choose from the menu of a la carte services below:
Background Checks - $250
With NannyCheck we search for evidence of criminal convictions in the past 7 years following a Social Security trace of where the nanny has lived. We obtain education verification, check the individual's credit history and complete a driving history evaluation.
Interview and Report - $200
Our unique, detailed interview, was developed with over 25 years of experience. It targets a nanny's knowledge of child development, ability to handle common nanny challenges, level of creativity, style of discipline and more. Our report is a detailed account of your nanny's strengths, knowledge of child development, style of caregiving and commitment to her job.
Training - $125
Our very own award-winning health and safety program reviews the most important caregiving practices in a lively way. The program covers topics such as first aid, household safety, positive discipline strategies and styles of care giving. A completion report evaluates your nanny's style of caregiving.
Reference Checking - $150
A trained member of our staff speaks directly to references by phone. Our carefully-developed format determines the genuineness of a reference, the caregiver's strengths and limitations, her ability to communicate with both employer and children effectively and more. We recommend three recent, childcare references from a nanny candidate.

Backup Care as a Corporate Benefit
Increasingly, companies recognize that offering work/life benefits is a win-win proposition. According to WorldatWork’s 2007-2008 Global Strategic Rewards Study, after compensation, work/life balance is the most important driver of employee attraction and commitment.
Programs such as corporate backup care reduces employee stress and gives employees peace of mind -- while simultaneously increasing employee productivity and retention.
Parents in a Pinch offers not only backup childcare, but backup eldercare and adultcare as well. With baby boomers aging and their parents living longer, employees increasingly face many challenges. Often their loved ones are hundreds of miles away and when the phone call comes, the need is urgent. Juggling between work duties and caring for a family member can be very stressful. Corporate Backup Care enables an employee to come to work with peace of mind, while a professionally-screened and trained caregiver goes right to the home to take care of the temporary need until a more permanent solution can be found.
Employees of companies with Parents in a Pinch’s backup childcare and backup eldercare benefit, realize many advantages. They pay significantly less for backup care and they receive nanny services, group care services and NannyCheck services at a discount.
