  How the corporate benefit works

Once your company becomes a corporate client with Parents in a Pinch’s Corporate Backup Care Program, arranging care is as easy as one phone call.

Employees call Parents in a Pinch at 800-688-4697 to request care identifying themselves and company. No pre-registration is necessary; however some companies choose to have their employees pre-register with their own human resource departments.
  • Parents in a Pinch will identify a caregiver and contact the employee; the caregiver will contact the family directly to finalize the arrangements.
  • When the caregiver arrives, your employee signs an authorization form.
  • Depending on the company’s arrangement with Corporate Backup Care, families either pay the caregiver at the end of the day or their credit card will be charged after care is received,

Paying for care
Companies are charged an administrative fee based on the size of the employee base as well as the number of locations we will be covering. This allows each employee to utilize from 10-20 days per year of childcare and/or eldercare.

In some locations, employees pay their caregiver at the end of each day of care for the hours provided. Some companies choose to reimburse all or part of this employee payment. The reimbursement is managed by Parents in a Pinch.

Rates
Rates vary by location. In most cases, employees pay an hourly fee between $12.00 and $18.00 per hour (there is a four-hour minimum charge). Some companies offer reimbursement for all or part of the fee paid.
